Remembrance Sunday Supper & Tour | 6.45pm | Sun 11 Nov
Join us at Glemham Hall for a Remembrance Sunday Supper and full House Tour with Major Philip Hope-Cobbold - a commemorative event marking the Centenary of the end of the First World War.
The evening will begin with the lighting of the beacon from the rooftop of Glemham Hall at precisely 7.00pm, for which you are invited to witness. Around the UK, over 1000 ‘Beacons of Light’ will symbolise an end to the darkness of war and a return to the light of peace.
Afterwards, the 'wonderfully exuberant' Major Hope-Cobbold will take you on a guided tour of Glemham Hall that will lead you all the way up to the attics, down to the cellars and everywhere in-between. You will see original Elizabethan features, Georgian additions and historic items throughout the Hall, that have belonged to the Cobbold family since the days of Lady Blanche, Major Hope-Cobbold's grandmother.
Following the tour, you will be invited to take a seat in the Dining Room at Glemham Hall where you will enjoy a delicious two course supper cooked by Philip’s son - chef, Tom Hope-Cobbold. Tom will be serving a wonderful menu featuring produce from the Glemham Hall Estate.
